Homework is given out on a daily basis and should be returned the next day for review in the classroom.

I wanted to let you know we are off to a strong start. After careful assessment and working with your child in class, we have found some focus points to work on and have created some smart goals to achieve. You child should know what specific element of mathematics we are going to practice and they are going to share this information with you. On conference night they will show you their progress. As for homework we are going digital. I have them on www.sumdog.com, www.zeal.com, www.ixl.com, www.kahnacadamy.com and www.xtramath.com. This first week we are going to work on sumdog.com and they will need to practice no less than 15 minutes a night. Please have them show you what it’s all about. The whole class is very engaged in it. I will start assigning specific needs for your son or daughter to practice as soon as I can afford the programs. This will help me assess their progress in real time and will also target the individual needs of each student. You may find all these websites and more on my website www.mrwaldau.com. If your child does not have internet access, I will provide a packet for them to use.
